Beef Australia
Outside Rockhampton, Queensland is the home to the Southern Hemisphere’s largest meat and Livestock Expo. Held every second year, the event brings together meat traders from around the world. When advertising the country’s best food, it needs to be served by experienced chefs in World Class kitchens. KOR was there, and the good reviews of the event filtered back to us. With an excellent team in charge and kitchen to serve them, the food flowed very smoothly.

Emmy Monash Home
Tucked in the tree-lined streets of Melbourne’s Eastern suburbs, we had a serious challenge getting the kitchen into place. Just as all hospitals do, Emmy Monash hospital has to be meticulous in the hygienic preparation of foods for its patients. At the Emmy Monash we arranged for a visiting Rabbi to kosherize the kitchen, ensuring that the portable kitchen was certified ready to serve kosher foods.

Melbourne Commonwealth Games
In March 2006 the Commonwealth Games were brought to Melbourne. Thousands of people were fed from TWO of our 40ft mobile kitchens and SIX of our 20ft kitchens placed around the city. Some kitchens were serving hamburgers and chips, some were serving gourmet rolls and salads, while the chefs from an Indian Restaurant were serving their award-winning food to officials, competitors and the public over the games period.

RAAF Base, Wagga Wagga
KOR temporary kitchens were butted up next to the mess hall during the existing kitchen’s renovation. KOR made the construction worker’s life easy, allowing them to focus on their jobs while the chefs could continue delivering the food to the servicemen and women. Over 400 people per service were being fed. Our standard configuration was customised to allow for the installation of BRAT pans and extra fryers. Spare parts were held close to the base ensuring that any problem could be fixed quickly.

Victorian Parliament House
The Parliament house building was in need of serious kitchen renovations so that the catering team can continue to serve all the local and international tourists along with the parliamentarians who come to the building during the year. Receptions are always being held in the building and despite the building works going on the functions still rolled on. Our portable kitchens were there to help the process.

Film and Production
Television and Productions companies frequently come to KOR because we have an excellent reputation for delivering very strong and reliable equipment with excellent servicing back-up ready to assist Australia-wide. We have had mobile kitchens in the rains at Kakadu National Park, in the dry heat of Ayers Rock and in the icy cold Jindabyne winter. Time and time again production houses aren’t willing to risk the gamble of not getting A-class equipment.

Allansdale Cheese Factory Week
Beautiful and picturesque Allansdale is the home of one of the country’s larger dairies. In amongst the green grass, the trees and the dairy cows… sits the colorbond panelled KOR kitchen. During February’s Cheese World week, KOR kitchens allow the chefs of the area to show the best ways to use diary products in everyday cooking. From quiches to pastries, cheeses, creams and pastas, everything is easier when it’s all together in the one area.

NSW Rural Fire Services
Each year during the fire season the New South Wales Rural Fire Services are stretched to the limit. We at KOR understand their need to have modified equipment not just to suit the services requirements but to also endure the rigors of the tough terrain that the kitchens could be taken into. We keep our kitchens on stand-by and ready to assist in rapid response situations all over the country.

Avalon Airshow
Every second year Avalon Airport is the home to the International Airshow. The surrounding fields are covered with exhibits, amenities, and food and drinks area. KOR mobile kitchens positioned in amongst the marquees allowing catering businesses the opportunity to provide customers with restaurant grade meals, at an event where previously only fast food and deep fried items were possible.

Steel Mill
At the time of “factory shutdowns”, KOR are asked to assist in the arranging of equipment for the contracted food preparers to cater for the hundreds of meals served to the services technicians coming to site. Steak Sandwiches, pies, sausage Rolls, chips are very easy to serve from one of our portable units.

Victorian Bushfires 2009
The Victorian bushfires devastated the communities of Kinglake, Marysville and Flowerdale in February 2009, places close and dear to us. We recognised that our mobile kitchens could greatly benefit those affected. Three days after Black Saturday we had five kitchens in the disaster relief areas.Three of them were provided at no cost, and another two units were provided at half the normal rate. This provided the caterers with the chance to deliver more substantial dishes than a BBQ could.
